10th Annual Critical Race & Anticolonial Studies Conference: Race-making and the State: Between Postracial Neoliberalism and Racialized Terrorism

Friday, October 8, 2010 - Sunday, October 10, 2010

Lister Hall, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta

Students interested in race relations studies or women's studies should plan to attend the 10th Annual Critical Race & Anticolonial Studies Conference, being held at the University of Alberta this fall. Hosted by the Researchers and Academics of Colour for Equality (R.A.C.E.) Network, the conference intends to "foster and promote critical anti-racist, feminist and anti-colonial scholarship," with this year's speakers focusing on "race-making, anti-racism, decolonization and the state."

In addition to seven keynote and plenary speakers, the conference will include
  • student and faculty workshops
  • papers and panel sessions
  • a film festival
  • a book launch
  • plenary sessions
  • plenty of networking opportunities.
