Missed your favourite shows? No problem. Primetime update gives you the rundown.

Survivor – ALL STARS – $1,000,000 more!

Last week Amber Brkich, the 25 chick who formerly received 6th place in Survivor: Australian Outback, received a proposal from Boston Rob, and then the title of Survivor: All Stars. Some dirty laundry was uncovered, and washed clean on national television. At the very end of the finale, Jeff announced that a second million-dollar prize would be awarded, by means of a viewer poll.

I logged on, and my vote went to Rupert. If I had to pick a final four it would be Rupert, Colby, Rudy, and Richard. America voted for Colby (who was also voted the Sexiest Survivor Man), Big Tom, Rupert, and Boston Rob. After all 38 million votes were counted, America gave the money to Rupert!

Viewers were also asked to answer several quiz questions. The results:

Best Fight: Rupert vs. Johnny Fairplay (Peal Islands).

Sexiest Man: Colby Donaldson

Sexiest Woman: Amber Brkich

Greatest Villains: Richard Hatch, Jerri Manthey, Brian Heidik, Rob C, Johnny Fairplay. Winner: Johnny Fairplay (who was sitting in the front row of the audience).

Greatest Moments: Sue’s snake and rat speech, Mike falling in the fire, Rupert steals shoes, & Johnny Fairplay’s dead grandmother story. The winner: Rupert stole the other tribe’s shoes and traded them for food, on the first episode of Pearl Islands.

NEXT SEASON (SEPTEMBER): We look forward to Survivor: Vanuatu (Islands of Fire). We’ll encounter volcanoes, sorcery, real tribes, cannibalism and a tropical paradise. See you then.

The Bachelor

Last week, Jesse went home to meet the girls’ families, and in the end said good-bye to Trish.

This week, the women tell all and Trish defends who she is and the decisions she made on the show. Jenny (the spy) suffers the scorn of the women and their feelings of betrayal and Jesse, too, must answer their questions. He leaves, excited about the decision that he made, and gives us something to look forward to.

Jesse’s first overnight date is in Quebec City (Yay!), with Tara. Both halves of the couple have a great time, and express their desire to spend more time together. They go ice-skating on a private rink, and neither have skill. They share a drink in a private ice castle. Jesse tells Tara that he’s falling for her, and later requests that she tell him how she’s feeling. After dinner they go up to the fantasy suite and spend the night together.

Jesse’s second overnight date is in the Bahamas, with Jessica. They spend some time smooching on the beach. Jesse expresses his concern that Jessica is only 21 and is still in school, in California. In response, Jessica tells him that she’s applied to transfer to a New York law school. Their dinner table is right on the beach and they share conversation of their feelings (of course). Jesse tells Jessica that he’s falling in love with her, but he then takes a step over the honesty line and tells her that he’s also falling in love with someone else. In the end though, she accepts the invitation to spend the night with him in the fantasy suite.

Jesse’s last overnight date is with Mandy Jaye, in Washington, D.C. He admits beforehand that he hasn’t seen any real emotion from her. She claims it’s because of her pageant experience. They get on the USS Sequola and float around, looking at monuments and stuff. The couple soon experiences several moments of silence, during which, Jesse says, he becomes less attracted to her. During their dinner, which Jesse feels is very hopeless; Trish walks into the room, and steals him away.

Trish drags Jesse from his elegant perfection into a busy kitchen (which he calls hell) and offers him a key to her room. When he tells Trish that he doesn’t have a future with her. Trish turns around and badmouths the three women that Jesse’s chosen to remain in the competition. In the end, she gives him a key and tells him to hang on to it, and think about it.

When he returns to dinner, Mandy’s confidence intrigues him, and he offers her the fantasy suite room key. She says that it’s very nice, but would prefer that he give her the personal invitation himself, which he does and she accepts. They couple gets right into the hot tub, which has a window overlooking the Washington monument. They share some kisses, and some other stuff. Trish is left alone in her suite to fester about her rejection, with tears and everything.

Before the final rose ceremony, Jesse admits that he’s falling in love with more than one woman. As the other women are brought into the room, each one begins to look less confident in herself. Jesse offers roses to Tara and Jessica, sending Mandy Jaye packing (we knew that was going to happen). Dangit, she had the nicest hair too:

Next week: the Finale includes visits to Jesse’s hometown, his parents, and the return of the spy. AND, Jesse takes both women with him to look at rings. And tears from both women. See if he will propose next week.
