Description: Residents of Soroptimist International of the Americas’ member countries and territories; Female heads of household with primary financial responsibility for supporting their families (children, spouse, or parents); Enrolled or accepted to vocational/skills training or undergraduate degree program; Must not have already earned an undergraduate degree; Financial need is required; Soroptimist employees and their family members are ineligible
Instructions: Award distribution begins at the community level. Recipients of community awards become eligible for regional level awards. Applications must be submitted to the appropriate regional post from July 1 to December 1. Personal statement of 750 words and references are required

MICHAEL LUCHKOVICH SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Application deadline: December 1, April 1 and August 1
These awards are given to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding ability in their work and are pursuing short-term, full-time study of less than six months or part-time study. Applicants must have worked in Alberta for a minimum of three years. Awards assist with direct educational costs.
