The glyph for Leo represents the mane of the lion. The glyph’s two incomplete circles can also be seen as the sun being joined by the moon. In mythology, Leo is frequently associated with Nemean the Lion, who was killed by Hercules and then sent into the sky.
Leo is the fifth sign of the zodiac and is a masculine fire sign. Leo is a fixed sign as are Aquarius and Scorpio, which is indicative of a stubborn, immoveable nature. A dominant sign, Leos are always looking for ways to benefit from a situation. They are hard-working and ambitious for the most part. Leo loves to be the centre of attention.
