Never mind that Friday the 13th stuff—August 13 is also International Left Handers Day!  Although lefties make up at least 10% of the population, we really had to dig to find mention of them in our archives.

School (dis)orientation.  A news compilation includes reference to a book called Your Left-handed Child.  “In other cases, according to the author of a book on left-handed children, those students ‘were also more likely to be diagnosed with conditions such as dyslexia, as schools misinterpreted common writing difficulties.'”  International News Desk – Left-handed students struggling in school, May 7, 2010.
