Eligibility restriction:  Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and be planning to enter a full-time degree or diploma program at a recognized Canadian university or college.  Eligible programs are related to agriculture, food science, or culinary studies, and must be at least two years in length.  See full eligibility requirements on the How to Apply tab.

What’s required:  An online application form, along with two letters of reference, academic transcripts, and a 300-500 word essay answering this question: “Canadian farmers play an important role in feeding the world in a sustainable way; what role will you play?”
