Proctor U versus Other Invigilator Options. A student expresses frustration with the 45-minute lateness of the proctor for the exam invigilated by ProctorU.  Other students express similar situations, such as a 25-minute delay with the proctor starting the exam with poor communication. Others recommend outside invigilation, such as an external university that can serve as the invigilator.

Academic reference letters from professors. A student asks how to stay connected with professors for academic references for graduate studies application purposes. Another student says it’s the professor’s job to provide reference letters, and good professors will be happy to comply. Another student says to keep in touch with professors who can serve as references via LinkedIn and email if receptive.  Alternatively, this student advises requesting a reference by email, including the course’s date and grade and an assignment sample.
