Last weekend’s horrible attacks at the Westfield Bondi Junction shopping mall in Sydney, Australia prompted us to cocoon in the archives and look for some gentler Bondi Beach references.  Cue the Travelling Student…

Textbooks and sand.  Philip Kirkbride feels out of place studying at Bondi Beach while others surf and party.  “Despite the always Saturday atmosphere of Bondi I managed to get a lot done staying there over the next few weeks. Slowly but surely, I started to catch up on my course work. Always another beach.  Philip Kirkbride decides to look beyond Bondi Beach, and rents an RV to go exploring.  “I packed up and hopped in ready to start the ignition. As I turned the key the engine started up only to quickly stall, I repeated with the same results.
