Can I get a Master of Social Work without a Bachelor of Social Work degree? A student faces roadblocks with completing a Bachelor of Social Work online and asks for feedback regarding completing a psychology degree as a basis for entering the Master of Social Work program. It’s suggested to avoid the notoriously challenging psychology classes and instead do a sociology major and a psychology minor if desired. Getting volunteer and work experience in the meantime is also suggested. Another student indicated that the most  Masters of Social Work degree programs require the Bachelor of Social Work.  However, two students replied that Wilfred Laurier and the University of Calgary have online programs that don’t require the Bachelor of Social Work.
